Tips
Normalize your audio before uploading. Consistent volume levels prevent sounds from being too quiet or blasting your viewers.
Use short, punchy sounds for reactions. Long audio clips can overlap awkwardly if triggered multiple times.
Test volume levels before going live. Play sounds while monitoring your stream audio to ensure they’re balanced.
Organize by category - Name your sounds descriptively (e.g., “alert-sub”, “reaction-laugh”, “music-intro”).
Troubleshooting
Sound not playing?
- Check connections - Ensure devices are connected to the overlay
- Check volume - Make sure volume isn’t set to 0%
- Check browser - Some browsers block autoplay until user interaction
Sound too quiet/loud?
- Adjust the volume slider before playing
- Re-upload with normalized audio levels
- Check your OBS audio mixer settings
