Chat Timers
Timers automatically post messages to your chat at scheduled intervals. Use them to remind viewers about social links, announce events, or trigger overlay actions on a schedule.
Creating a Timer
Go to Chatbot
In the dashboard sidebar, click Chatbot
Click Timers
Select the Timers tab
Create Timer
Click Create Timer
Add messages
Enter the messages to post
Set schedule
Configure when and how often to post
Enable
Toggle the timer on
Timer Settings
Messages
Add one or more messages to the timer:
- Multiple messages rotate in sequence
- Each message posts on the next interval
- Use variables for dynamic content
Interval Scheduling
Set different intervals for online and offline:
Online Interval
How often to post when you’re live:
- Example: Every 15 minutes during stream
Offline Interval
How often to post when you’re offline:
- Set to 0 to disable when offline
- Useful for 24/7 channels or reruns
Multiple Messages
Add variety with multiple messages:
- Click Add Message
- Enter additional messages
- Messages rotate in order
- Keeps chat fresh without repetition
Example rotation:
- “Follow me on Twitter @username!”
- “Join our Discord: discord.gg/xxx”
- “Subscribe for alerts and emotes!”
Overlay Actions
Timers can trigger overlay changes:

Automatically advance logo rotations on schedule.
Modify Layers
Update counters or other layer values at intervals.
Create timer
Set up messages and schedule
Add action
Click Add Action
Select overlay
Choose the target overlay
Select layer
Choose which layer to control
Configure
Set the action details
Conditions
Control when timers run:

|---|
| Online only | Only post when streaming |
| Offline only | Only post when offline |
| Channel | Only in specific channels |
| Game | Only when playing certain games |
Managing Timers
Enable/Disable
Toggle timers on or off without deleting them:
- Quickly disable during special events
- Re-enable when ready
Edit
Modify timer settings anytime:
- Change messages
- Adjust intervals
- Update conditions
Delete
Remove timers you no longer need.
Examples
Messages:
1. "Follow me on Twitter for stream updates! @username"
2. "Join the Discord community: discord.gg/xxx"
3. "Don't forget to follow the channel!"
Interval: Every 20 minutes (online only)
Messages:
1. "Today's stream is sponsored by Example Co! Use code STREAMER for 10% off."
Interval: Every 30 minutes (online only)
Tips
Don’t spam - Set intervals of at least 10-15 minutes to avoid annoying viewers.
Use multiple messages to keep timer posts varied and interesting.
Disable offline unless you have a specific reason for 24/7 posting.
